“Kansas City architectural firm El Dorado Inc. will design the 125-room hotel. The hotel will also have meeting spaces, a restaurant, bar and lounge, and a rooftop deck, and serve as a “living room for the Crossroads,” the developers said. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2016 with a mid-2017 opening planned. The hotel would have about 125 employees.” -KC Star

Crossroads hotel plan gets council approval - KC Star

A plan to convert two vacant buildings into a 124-room hotel styled as a “living room for the Crossroads” received a go-ahead Thursday from the Kansas City Council.

The approval was for a zoning change from manufacturing to urban redevelopment that will allow the plan to proceed.
