Does anyone have any information on whether or not Cerner is still toying with the idea of building a skyscraper downtown? I remember reading a small article awhile back on an initial proposal, however I can’t seem to find any further info on it. It would be great for the city to have development like that downtown to increase demand for continued development.
I’ll start by saying, mostly, I do not know. I did pose this question directly to Cliff Illig last year. He stated at that time that they were not pursuing anything at that time. He stated that on the list of potential employee “wants” that an office downtown did not rise high enough to justify the increase in cost vs. the offices they have on the edges of the various areas of the metro.
